Bio:
In May 1998, I suffered a devastating left knee injury, where I tore my ACL
(anterior crutiate ligament) and cartilage playing soccer. The following month
I began weight training to maintain my shape (as I couldn't do cardio activities
due to my knee injury). I made great unexpected improvements to my physique
and local bodybuilders suggested that I had good genetics for the sport. I
continued to train regularly and in February 2000 (1 year after my ACL reconstruction)
I decided to start training for the 2000 Southern Alberta Bodybuilding Compeition
which I won the lightweight class. The following year, I competed in the Alberta
Provincial Bodybuidling Compeition where I won the lightweight and overall
classes!
In 2002 I won the lightweight division at the Canadian National Bodybuilding Championships, 8 months later I went onto win the 2003 Canadian National Figure contest Short Class. This year I competed again in the Canadian National Figure contest winning the Short Class and the OVERALL title which allowed me to attain IFBB Professional Status!
